OMNI-200-TIP (Tester-In-Pusher) Sees Service in SG Inspections

The OMNI-200 TIP (Tester-In-Pusher) has been used as the inspection of record on three SG outages.  In October, 2006 at the Palo Verde Nuclear power plant; in January, 2007 at the Comanche Peak baseline inspection; and in March, 2007 at Vogtle.  Its performance has been excellent and it's design is final.
 

Steam Generator Eddy Current Probes

CoreStar has supplied half of the bobbin probes used by Westinghouse for the fall 2006 inspections and will continue to do so in 2007.

EddyVISION32 version 6.2

EddyVISION32 version 6.2 has been released.  It is a maintenance upgrade that supports upgraded OMNI-200 firmware and adds a few additional features and fixes. One significant change is the ability to use the dynamic gain feature at lower frequencies. This has a significantly increased the RFT signal quality.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ANY OMNI-200 PURCHASED IN 2006 MUST BE RETURNED TO CORESTAR TO HAVE ITS FIRMWARE UPDATED BEFORE IT CAN BE USED WITH VERSION 6.2.
